The hot best seller, THE BIBLE CODE HANDBOOK, claims to have predicted the 1994 earthquake in Los Angeles, the bombing of Murrah building in Oklahoma by Timothy McVeigh on day 19 at the 9th hour, and JFK's assassination by Oswald. Now a Hollywood plastic surgeon, Dr. Greedly, whose daughter is dying of anorexia, is making to some the most startling claim ever.


Dr. Greedly believes that he has uncovered the true meaning of Original Sin that Adam and Eve brought upon humankind by their act of disobedience. Remember, the Garden of Eden was paradise. Everything Adam and Eve could possibly want was within their grasp. God asked only that they NOT eat from one tree--an apple tree. Scholars and theologians have tried to interpret the meaning of Original Sin for thousands of years. Dr. Greedly looked for guidance as his daughter lay stricken with anorexia. He read the Bible, starting with Genesis. He also decided to use THE BIBLE CODE HANDBOOK. One night after countless, futile nights, the doctor began to recognize words that were not "visible" to him before.

Below is some of what Dr. Greedly found in Genesis.

Like scholars before him, Dr. Greedly always thought that the "apple" tree was symbolic of something much more important than a humble piece of fruit. But the Bible Code was cracked. It shows clearly that the test of obedience that God gave Adam and Eve was nothing more or less than the very first diet. For whatever reason, God determined that the apples from that one tree were off-limits. But Eve couldn't resist. It drove her crazy knowing that she couldn't taste that one apple from that one tree. Doesn't that sound familiar? It did to Dr. Greedly as the words "diet," "original sin," "evil," "serpent," were cross-linked with the word "anorexia."

Dr. Greedly now believes that Eve's disobedience, the Original Sin, was that she and then Adam broke their diet! As a result, humankind, especially young girls like his daughter, must suffer the endless, guilt-ridden quest for the perfect diet only to forever fail!
