Multimedia Software Publishing

For The Next Generation of Readers and Writers!

Diskotech, Inc. is a Kansas City corporation. Our main office is at 7930 State Line, Ste. 210, Prairie Village, KS 66208. Since 1987, we have published software and multimedia software. .

As Holly Franking, co-founder and president says, "We live multimedia lives today. So we need to use multimedia to recreate our lives in fiction and non-fiction. It's not a game. It's the postmodern reality."

True to this belief, Diskotech, Inc. created the first computerized video novel--NEGATIVE SPACE CVN® in 1987. In 1990, it was published with a printed user's manual, diskettes, and a videocassette. In 1995, it was published on CD-ROM. In 1992, Diskotech, Inc. began creating and publishing the first multimedia greeting cards--PCcardTM. PCcards were sold on diskettes. They used a variety of animation, such as 3D and 4D. They could be personalized with voice or text messages. In the 1996, Diskotech, Inc. published the first computerized video true-crime story on CD-ROM--THE MARTENSVILLE NIGHTMARE CVN®. In 1997, Diskotech,Inc. published the first computerized video novel on the Internet. CELEBRITY INK CVN® is a satire on supermarket tabloids. It's billed as "the first Internet trash tabloid with text, video, music."

Early on, Diskotech, Inc. wrote and/or published other software. In 1990, DR. FRANKING'S LANGUAGE LESSONS published by SourceCom, Inc. And in 1992, HOW TO BE HAPPILY EMPLOYED IN THE 1990s.

Diskotech, Inc. wants to create and publish multimedia works for "the next generation of readers." After all, it is the place "Where the CD-ROM Comes of Age."
