THE HAUNTED HUSBAND

When Becky Major drove off on her honeymoon with her new husband, Donny Major, she was the happiest woman alive. Three hours later she was killed in a fiery auto accident. Her husband lay heartbroken and near-death in a Bangor hospital. Five years and two fiancees later, Donny Major says he will never try to remarry. "Becky either hates me or loves me too much to let me go," says Donny. "I don't know which," he said in an exclusive to CELEBRITY INK. Friends say Donny won't say anything bad about Becky, whose ghost has haunted his Bangor, Maine house where the couple was married five years ago.

Bangor, Maine.
Major's mother, Wilma, shares the house with her son but refuses to give interviews for fear of drawing more of Becky's wrath. Friends and two fiancees all say they've seen Becky's ghost in her gorgeous white wedding gown. Becky usually appears whenever Donny tries to remarry. Two years after Becky died, Donny planned to marry Sissy Carson. The date was set--June 3, 1993. Everyone was happy for Donny. Everyone hoped he had put the pain and loss of Becky's death behind him. Everyone thought he was finally going to get the happiness he deserved. That was until the night of the rehearsal dinner. Donny's financee's family hosted a wonderful dinner at the Elm Tree Inn--a famous restaurant just outside Bangor.

After the toasts, the best wishes, the last course of a delicious meal, most out-of-towners retired to their rooms at the Elm. Donny and his bride's family returned to the Major house where the wedding was to take place the next morning, Saturday.
