It's 2010 AD and springtime in Soho, New York. One by one members of a small band of hackers make their way to an abandoned loft on Bleeker Street. Their mission -- take back the Internet. Since 2000 AD major governments, including the US, have blanketed the Net with crippling censorship laws. The once free-wheeling-dealing-in-your-face cyberspace has become a sanitized shade of its former self.

The group, started by Hammer who lives in the loft, is meeting face to face for the first time. Dweeb, Streetsmart, Viktoria'secret, Magellan, PartTime, TheGriffin, MonkeySee and Manna each knock and mention the password: "It's me, Dad."

The door squeals open and each member mistakes the guy opening it for Hammer. He shakes his mane of jagged red hair and thumbs behind himself.
